Flax (Linen) Fly Rods
My research in natural fibers has led me to do some work with Flax fiber. Flax is such a great material for clothing and its use in so many other areas is exploding especially in Europe. I am seeing flax used in many applications the creative uses are limited only by imagination.
Seeing Flax being used in sporting equipment and seeing Gary Loomis' newest EDGE rod En.V: Most eco-friendly, performance, fly rod project on Kickstarter and seeing fly rods being used on linen web sites in Europe I could not resist combining Flax (linen) with Bamboo and making some fly rods.
As I make and try different combinations of rods using Flax I will post the results on the blog.
